PREPARING FOR ADMISSION
Foreign citizens and stateless persons (hereinafter referred to as foreign citizens) are accepted to study according to the main educational programs of IzhSTU named after M.T. Kalashnikov both on a budget (free) and paid basis:

Compatriots entering budget places additionally submit originals or copies of documents confirming respectively:
Foreign citizens entering the directions of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation additionally represent the directions of the Ministry.
- Admission of foreign citizens to study in basic educational programs at the expense of the budget is carried out in the following cases:
- in the directions of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation within the quota for the education of foreign citizens and stateless persons in the Russian Federation established by the Government of the Russian Federation;
- on a competitive basis within the admission control numbers established for M.T. IzhSTU Kalashnikova:
- citizens of the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan;
- citizens of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Moldova, Turkmenistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ukraine and the Republic of Georgia permanently residing in the territory of the Russian Federation;
- compatriots and their descendants who document their status.
- In other cases, foreign citizens are accepted only for paid places.
Requirements for the level of education:
- when entering bachelor's degree programs, the applicant must have an education corresponding to secondary general education;
- when entering master's programs, the applicant must have an education corresponding to the bachelor's level or higher;
- when entering graduate programs, the applicant must have an education corresponding to the level of specialty or master's degree.
Deadlines for submission of documents:
Documents are accepted at the following times:
- foreign citizens entering the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation - within the terms established by the Ministry;
- foreign citizens applying for budget places:
- in the period from June 19 to July 11 - in bachelor's and specialty programs;
- in the period from June 19 to July 26 - for master's degree programs;
- foreign citizens entering paid places:
- in the period from June 19 to August 30 - full-time and part-time forms of study in bachelor's, specialty and master's programs;
- in the period from June 19 to September 20 - by correspondence study in bachelor's, specialty and master's programs.
Requirements for the list of documents:
The entrants submit the documents in three stages:
- after registration, the applicant sends the following documents in scanned form to stv@istu.ru:
- foreign passport;
- application form;
- certificates for victories/participation in the Olympiads held by IzhSTU named after M.T. Kalashnikov (if any).
- Until 20.08.2020, the entrant sends to the address stv@istu.ru in scanned form:
- the main document on education (certificate, certificate, certificate, etc. - depending on the country there may be different names);
- annex to the main document on education (if it is separate).
- After arriving at the university, the applicant provides to the registration and visa sector (5th building of IzhGTU named after M.T. Kalashnikov (c. Izhevsk, 30 Let Pobedy St., 2), b. 700, tel. (3412) 77-60-55 (ext. 1313):
- passport and its notarized translation into Russian;
- the original document on previous education and its notarized translation (if the document or seal is made in a foreign language);
- a copy of the visa to enter the Russian Federation, if a foreign citizen arrived in the Russian Federation on an entry visa;
- a copy of the migration card issued when entering the territory of the Russian Federation;
- medical certificates for entrants (certificate of absence of HIV, negative test for COVID-19 (can be done upon arrival in Izhevsk), certificate of vaccinations);
- matte photos (6 pcs.) 3×4 cm in size;
- to check into the hostel, you need to take out a health insurance policy (cab.800, building 5).
Compatriots entering budget places additionally submit originals or copies of documents confirming respectively:
- citizenship of the USSR, citizenship or lack thereof at the time of presentation - for persons who were citizens of the USSR;
- residence in the past on the territory of the Russian state, the Russian Republic, the RSFSR, the USSR or the Russian Federation, the corresponding citizenship when leaving this territory and civil affiliation or lack thereof at the time of presentation - for immigrants (emigrants);
- relationship in a straight ascending line with these persons - for descendants of compatriots;
- residence abroad - for all these persons.
Foreign citizens entering the directions of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation additionally represent the directions of the Ministry.
SUBMIT THE DOCUMENTS
- Fill out the application form and send the following documents to stv@istu.ru in scanned form:
- foreign passport (page with 1st and 2nd pages);
- application form;
- certificates for victories/participation in the Olympiads held by IzhSTU named after M.T. Kalashnikov (if any).
- By 20.08.2020, send to stv@istu.ru in scanned form:
- the main document on education (certificate, certificate, certificate, etc. - depending on the country there may be different names);
- annex to the main document on education (if it is separate).
TAKING THE ENTRANCE EXAMS
Admission of foreign citizens for training is carried out on the basis of the results of entrance tests in subjects corresponding to the chosen direction of training. For admission to bachelor's and specialty programs, applicants must pass three entrance tests, for master's programs - one comprehensive entrance test.
Entrance tests are conducted in the form of testing using remote technologies. Identification of the applicant's identity will be carried out at the e-mail address specified during registration.
Entrance tests will be held in 2 stages: the first - from July 13 to 18. The second one is from August 10 to 15.
Schedule of entrance tests (Izhevsk time is indicated - +1 hour to Moscow time):
On the day of the exam, before 09.00 Moscow time, a link to the task, login and password to enter the testing system will be sent to the e-mail address specified during registration. The applicant clicks on the received link and completes the task. The duration of the entrance test (exam) is 1 hour 30 minutes (90 minutes). At 11.00 Moscow time, access to the task will be closed.
The results of each of the entrance tests for bachelor's programs are evaluated on a hundred-point (100) scale. The results of the comprehensive entrance test for master's programs are evaluated on a fifty-point (50) scale.
The results of the entrance test are entered into a single database of applicants and sent to the entrant to the e-mail address specified during registration within 3 days after passing it.
The result (rating) of the applicant will be determined by the sum of points in three subjects, as well as additional points for individual achievements for those entering bachelor's and specialty programs and the result of a comprehensive entrance test for entrants to master's programs.

GETTING A VISA

To obtain a Russian visa, you need to get an electronic visa invitation. Visa invitations are issued by the Migration Service of Russia within 30 days from the date of submission of documents for a visa. To issue an invitation, you are required to have the following documents and information:
Important: the visa invitation will be sent ONLY after paying at least 50% of the cost of the first year of study! Payment can be made to one of the university accounts below:
Send the receipt confirming the payment to stv@istu.ru.
After receiving a visa, send a scanned copy of it to stv@istu.ru.
To obtain a Russian visa, you need to get an electronic visa invitation. Visa invitations are issued by the Migration Service of Russia within 30 days from the date of submission of documents for a visa. To issue an invitation, you are required to have the following documents and information:
- Scanned copy of a foreign passport (page with 1st and 2nd pages of the passport), valid for at least 1.5 years from the date of the intended entry into the Russian Federation;
- Home address;
- Place of visa (city where the Consulate of the Russian Federation is);
- The email address to which the electronic visa invitation will be sent.
